SC HR TI 250 is a specialized heat-resistant thermal insulation coating designed to protect surfaces and reduce heat transfer in high-temperature environments. Developed using advanced ceramic microsphere technology—the same used by NASA for space shuttle insulation—SC HR TI 250 provides exceptional resistance to temperatures up to 250°C, making it ideal for ovens, furnaces, and other industrial heat-generating equipment.

Engineered for energy efficiency, it helps industries save power by reducing radiant heat loss and maintaining uniform surface temperatures. Its lightweight, durable, and corrosion-resistant formulation makes SC HR TI 250 a superior choice for industrial and commercial applications where safety, performance, and sustainability are essential.

Unique Technology – NASA-Grade Ceramic Microspheres

The secret behind the performance of SC HRTI 250 lies in its ceramic microspore (microsphere) formulation. These hollow ceramic spheres contain nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas under negative pressure, resulting in superior insulation and reflectivity.

Key benefits of ceramic microspheres include:

  • Ultra-lightweight and low-density composition
  • High compression strength and abrasion resistance
  • High melting point and excellent heat reflectivity
  • Low thermal conductivity and electrical resistance
  • Outstanding stability under extreme temperatures

These microspheres act as tiny thermal barriers, reflecting radiant heat and minimizing conductive heat transfer—making SC HRTI 250 an ideal coating for energy conservation in heat-intensive environments.

Applications

SC HRTI 250 is versatile and can be applied to various industrial surfaces that operate between 150°C and 250°C.

Typical applications include:

  • Industrial ovens and furnaces
  • Boilers, pipelines, and heat exchangers
  • Chimneys and ducts
  • Kilns and thermal chambers
  • Metal structures exposed to radiant heat
  • Power plants, glass, ceramic, and automotive industries

Its high heat resistance and energy-saving characteristics make it ideal for any process requiring thermal management and safety.

Application Procedure

For best results, follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedure:

  1. Surface Cleaning:
Clean the surface thoroughly using a dry cloth to remove dust, oil, and loose contaminants.

  2. Surface Preparation:
Use shot blasting or apply SC Surface Cleaner to remove stubborn grease or rust.

  3. Washing:
After 30 minutes of applying the cleaner, rinse the surface with water and dry it completely.

  4. Mixing:
Add 10–15% SC HRTI Medium into SC HRTI 250 to achieve the desired application viscosity.

  5. Stirring:
Mix thoroughly using a mechanical stirrer for uniform consistency.

  6. Application:
Apply the first coat and allow it to dry for 6 hours.
Follow with the second and third coats, maintaining a 6-hour interval between each coat.

  7. Curing:
After the final coat, allow 24 hours of drying time before use.

  8. Final Thickness:
After three coats, the film thickness should be approximately 250 microns.

  9. Thinning:
Use SC HR Thinner only if necessary to adjust the viscosity.

This process ensures complete coverage, uniform coating, and long-lasting insulation performance.

Key Advantages:

  • Reduces surface temperature significantly
  • Saves energy by minimizing radiant heat loss
  • Prevents corrosion and oxidation
  • Easy air-dry application — no baking required
  • Excellent adhesion and flexibility
  • Long service life and low maintenance
  • Safe for metal, concrete, and ceramic surfaces
  • Environmentally friendly and non-toxic formulation

Fire & Thermal Protection

SC HRTI 250 not only withstands heat but also prevents temperature transfer through the substrate. The micro-insulating ceramic layers reflect heat radiation and disperse temperature evenly, maintaining substrate integrity even under prolonged exposure to heat.

It has been successfully used in industrial ovens, furnaces, and heat-intensive manufacturing setups where both performance and energy efficiency are crucial.

Storage and Shelf Life

Store SC HRTI 250 in a cool, dry, and shaded place. Keep containers tightly closed and away from direct sunlight or moisture.
Shelf Life: 12 months from manufacturing date in sealed packaging.

Quality Assurance

Manufactured under strict ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, every batch of SC HRTI 250 undergoes rigorous quality checks for consistency, density, and performance.
