Utkarsh completed his Master’s in Finance with Banking from the prestigious University of Bath in the United Kingdom, one of the top universities globally known for cultivating analytical and leadership skills in future business leaders. His academic journey was marked by deep engagement with financial systems, risk management, investment strategies, and operational optimization—skills that are now at the core of his entrepreneurial work.
Before that, Utkarsh developed a strong business foundation during his undergraduate years in India, where he consistently stood out for his ability to connect theoretical knowledge with practical business realities. This academic background serves as the intellectual backbone of his business vision today.
Professional Experience
Utkarsh’s career began with robust exposure to financial markets, investment advisory, and business consulting. He worked across multiple geographies, including India, the UK, and the United States, gaining firsthand experience in industries such as securities trading, wealth management, and strategic sales.
As a Financial Analyst and Sales Manager in the United States, Utkarsh led several high-value client relationships and was responsible for strategic planning and forecasting for key accounts. In India, he took on leadership roles in brokerage and investment management, learning the importance of trust, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
These diverse experiences gave him a unique lens to understand the macro and microeconomic environments, equipping him with the ability to forecast risks, identify opportunities, and build businesses from the ground up.
But it was his return to India and involvement with Saviour Fire, a legacy fire safety enterprise, that changed the course of his career. Recognising the urgent need for innovation in passive fire protection, and after closely engaging with key industrial clients like BALCO, Vedanta, Indian Oil, ABB, and L&T, Utkarsh envisioned a new-age brand that would be both technically superior and client-centric. That idea evolved into what is now SAFECOAT FIRE SOLUTIONS LLP.
Founding of SAFECOAT FIRE SOLUTIONS LLP
SAFECOAT FIRE SOLUTIONS LLP was born out of both necessity and opportunity. While fire safety regulations were tightening, the market was still saturated with outdated, ineffective, or poorly certified solutions. Most companies focused only on selling products—few were offering end-to-end protection, consultation, or education.
Utkarsh saw a gap, but more importantly, he saw a responsibility.
He founded SAFECOAT to bring a new standard of safety, accountability, and excellence to the Indian passive fire protection market. His mission was not just to sell fire-retardant coatings or sealing systems—but to help industries, developers, and institutions build environments that can withstand real-world fire scenarios while staying compliant with global benchmarks.
Under his leadership, SAFECOAT launched three core solutions:
* SC-01: Advanced water-based fire-retardant coatings
* SC-02: Passive Fire Sealing Systems
* SC-03: Multi-Compound Fire Sealing Systems
Each of these products is certified, lab-tested, and backed by rigorous R&D to meet Indian and international standards. Utkarsh ensured that the company focuses as much on education, training, and awareness as it does on product sales. His belief is that real safety begins with informed decisions—and that’s a philosophy woven into every SAFECOAT client interaction.
Vision for the Future
Utkarsh envisions SAFECOAT as a national leader in passive fire safety by 2030, with presence in every Indian metro, a certified dealer network across states, and collaborations with EPC contractors, architects, builders, and consultants.
Beyond that, he sees SAFECOAT expanding into fire safety software solutions, training programs, and even green fire protection technologies that are sustainable and globally scalable.
Another area of his focus is compliance education and advocacy. He believes many fire disasters in India could be prevented if fire norms were better understood and followed during the construction phase—not just after occupancy. Through SAFECOAT’s website, workshops, and partner programs, he wants to raise the baseline knowledge of fire safety for everyone involved in infrastructure development.
