The SC-03 Multi-Compound Fire Sealing System is a comprehensive fire barrier solution engineered to seal penetrations in walls and floors, particularly around cable entry and exit points. This system ensures fire integrity by preventing the passage of flames, smoke, and hot gases for up to three hours, thereby enabling effective compartmentation during fire events.
The certification Standard IS:12459-1988 recommends segregating cable runs into compartments with a view to localize a Cable Fire and the resultant propagation.
1. Fire-Resistant Board (Encasing Panel): A non-combustible, mechanically robust board that encases the infill material. It protects against vibrations, drop loads, and physical or mechanical stresses. The board is securely mounted to walls or floors using anchor fasteners, ensuring durability under operational and fire conditions.
2. Fire Seal: A fire-resistant sealing compound used to seal gaps around service penetrations such as cables and joints within the support frame. It expands under high temperatures, ensuring a tight seal and maintaining compartmental integrity.
3. Infill Panel: The core infill panel consists of mineral or ceramic fibers of appropriate density and thickness, coated with our proprietary fire-retardant coating. This panel acts as a thermal and fire shield, blocking the transfer of smoke and hot gases under severe fire exposure.
Installation Method: The fire-resistant board is mechanically anchored to walls or floors using certified anchor fasteners, ensuring structural stability and compliance with fire safety standards.
