SC HR 1200 with Binder is a high-temperature coating designed for extreme conditions up to 1200°C. It incorporates advanced refractory materials and a binder system to ensure adhesion and stability under intense heat. It is used in furnaces, kilns, and industrial equipment. The coating reduces heat loss and enhances energy efficiency. All products are Green Products and are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards, ensuring quality, reliability, and environmentally responsible production.
The SC HEAT RESISTANT 1200 SOLVENT BASE coating is based on silicone composite resin, which is chemically inert and non-reactive with metal parts. Its specialized formulation provides a smooth, semi-glossy or matte finish, withstanding continuous thermal cycling and mechanical stress.
This coating is solvent-based and easy to apply — it can be brushed or sprayed directly onto the substrate without the need for a primer. It provides excellent adhesion, flexibility, and scratch hardness, making it a reliable solution for high-temperature protection across industrial sectors.
Extreme Heat Resistance:
Withstands temperatures up to 1200°C, ensuring superior protection for furnace parts, pipelines, and other heat-exposed surfaces.
Superior Corrosion Protection:
Forms a dense, protective film that prevents oxidation and rust formation, even under condensation conditions.
Easy Application:
Can be applied using a brush or spray without primer, and dries quickly at room temperature.
Excellent Adhesion and Flexibility:
Provides strong bonding with metal surfaces and maintains film integrity under expansion or thermal shock.
Smooth Finish:
Delivers a uniform, semi-glossy or matte surface appearance, enhancing both performance and aesthetics.
Chemical Resistance:
Resistant to petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents, and other industrial chemicals, ensuring film stability.
Scratch and Pressure Resistant:
The cured film maintains hardness, showing no bare metal even under scratch or pressure tests.
Quick Curing:
Achieves initial air drying in 1 hour and complete curing with 1-hour heating at 250°C.
Surface Preparation:
Clean the surface thoroughly to remove old coatings, rust, or contaminants.
Use SC PAINT STRIPPER to remove any previous coatings.
Apply the stripper and let it act until the old paint starts lifting.
Scrape lightly using emery paper and clean the surface with thinner before applying SC HEAT RESISTANT 1200.
Application Process:
Mix the coating thoroughly before use.
Thin with SC Thinner for Heat Resistant Paints if required.
Apply one uniform coat using a brush or spray gun.
Allow the surface to air dry for 1 hour.
Curing Procedure:
After air drying, heat the coated surface to 250°C for 1 hour to achieve optimal film curing.
If heating is not possible, allow the surface to dry naturally in warm conditions for 3–4 days, depending on ambient heat.
Second Coat (Optional):
Apply the second coat only after the first coat is completely cured and cooled to room temperature.
Repeat the curing process after the second coat for maximum performance.
Coverage:
Approx. 200 sq. ft. per litre per coat, depending on surface porosity and texture.
Packaging: Available in custom-sized sealed metal containers suitable for industrial use.
Storage Conditions:
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area at room temperature.
Keep away from direct sunlight, open flames, and moisture.
Shelf life: 1 year when stored in sealed condition.
